On a recent trip to Portugal, I found myself at the Buddha Eden — a stunning, peaceful sculpture garden built in response to the 2001 bombing of the Giant Buddhas of Bamyan.

The place was vast, serene, and sacred in all the right ways.

But one thing grabbed my attention: the Buddha of Health was covered in coins.

Thousands of them.

No other statue had this kind of attention. Not the Buddha of Wisdom. Not the Buddha of Love.

Just Health.

It made me wonder — is this hope, or is it outsourcing?

Because while tossing coins into fountains is charming, betting on your health to magically hold without attention is not a vibe.


✋ Are We Really in Charge, or Just Avoiding the Mirror?

Most women don’t start their health journey with a proactive plan.

They start it with a slap in the face.

The wake-up call. The hormone crash. The “I can’t live like this anymore” moment.

But here’s what I’ve learned: You can’t outsource the work to a lucky charm.

And you definitely can’t build long-term success on short-term denial.

So let me ask you — when you say “health,” what do you actually mean?

Just your body?

Or do you include:

  • Your energy and emotions
  • Your mindset and habits
  • Your relationships, food, sleep, decisions
  • Your business, boundaries, and bandwidth

Because in The Unruled Body, health is the energy source for everything else.

Your innovation. Your follow-through. Your ability to hold the vision. Your ability to not snap at your partner after two margaritas and no magnesium.


🧬 Enter Human Design: Health Is a System, Not a Fix

This is where Human Design takes the abstract and gives it form.

Most people try to “get healthy” from the outside in: fix the symptom, chase the diet, download the tracker.

But true vitality starts in your body’s decision-making system — your Authority.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • Gut-Led Leaders (Sacral Authority): You thrive on consistency — protein, movement, gut-based yesses. When you’re tired? You’re misusing your energy, not missing willpower.
  • Wave Walkers (Emotional Authority): You need rhythm. Not every day is a workout day — it’s a wave. Ride it. And for the love of your nervous system, stop trying to make decisions mid-crash.
  • Whisper Readers (Splenic Authority): Your body whispers when something’s off. That random aversion to food or place? Trust it.
  • Desire-Driven Bosses (Ego Authority): If it doesn’t make you want to show up — it’s not sustainable. You need a health plan built on want, not should.
  • Voice-Led Movers (Self-Projected): You need to hear yourself talk it through — health is personal. If it doesn’t sound like you, it’s not for you.
  • Vibe Aligners (Mental/Environmental): Your space is your medicine. You can’t heal in a place that stresses you out. Start with your surroundings.

Knowing your Design isn’t a diagnosis — it’s a personal operating system.

One that tells you: here’s how to make the next best choice for your body — not the one they sold on Instagram.


🔄 What Happens When You Start from the Body

If you’ve ever:

  • Craved sugar when you’re stressed
  • Snapped at your partner and blamed hormones
  • Ghosted your gym app after three days
  • Felt like you “lost yourself” in your success season

…you’re not broken.

You’re just disconnected from your own signals.

The fix isn’t control.

It’s communication — with your body, your rhythm, your clarity.

And when that lands, everything changes:

  • You fuel instead of numb
  • You recover instead of override
  • You plan from alignment, not obligation
  • You build rituals that work with your energy, not against it

Two columns.

Left: how you are now.

Right: how your healthy, fully expressed self moves through the day.
